Thinking about a sustainable fertilization is possible! Thanks to fertilization techniques and strategies that are less aggressive on the soil. For example, precision farming (we wrote an article about this matter) that uses data to make decision and optimize resources use (such as water, fertilizers and pesticides) thus reducing the impact on the environment.

The localized fertilization technique is one of the benefits of precision farming.

In fact, placing the product in-furrow and close to the seeds (or roots in the transplant phase), using distributors on seeders and transplanters, avoids:

  • excessive presence of chemicals in soil,
  • product waste,
  • consequently, the presence of nitrates into groundwater.

Localized fertilization represents a smart solution when it comes to environmental sustainability.

No double treatment on the soil, due to the combination of sowing and fertilization activities, which results in the reduction of labor and resources: always ensuring excellent qualitative and quantitative yields of the crops.

Moreover, the use of microgranular fertilizers, such us our DEMA granules (0.5-1.2 mm), fight the product abuse in favour of an optimized quantity per plant. The result is the elimination of phytotoxicity chances.
